Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar was Resource Person at training workshop of youth belonging to Muslim minority countries. The Workshop was arranged by Dawah Academy International Islamic University Islamabad at Faisal Mosque campus. Young activists of Dawah and non-governmental organizations belonging to Cuba, Ghana, Uganda, Philippine, Sri Lanka and Nepal participated in the three-week workshop. Besides carrying vast experience of field work with them, the participants were well versed in dawah and social work. At the end of Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam’s presentation, the participants asked many questions about Pakistan. They expressed their love and affection for Pakistan.


Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-islam presided over working session of National Conference on Durand Line and FATA held at Area Study Centre (Russia China and Central Asia). Those who presented papers in the session were Rustam Shah Mohmand, Dr. Ashraf Ali, Dr. Hussain Shaheed, Dr. Shabbir Ahmad Khan and Dr. Muhammad Ali Dina Khel. Also present on the occasion were Rahimullah Yousafzai, Juma Khan Sufi, Dr. Azmat Hayat, Brig(r) Saad, Dr. Zahid Anwar and Dr. Razia Sultana.



Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar attended PhD defense at International Islamic University Islamabad as External Examiner. Prof. Dr. Amna Memud was Internal Examiner. Other significant academicians who attended the ceremony were scholar Kamran, Dr. Mansur Kundi, Dr. Dr. Manzoor Afridi HoD, and Dr. Manzoor Naazer.
