Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar will celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervor. The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of academic and administrative staff of the Centre chaired by Director Prof. Dr. Faker-ul-Islam. It was decided that 14th August 2017 will be working day for all staff of the Centre. The staff members will participate in flag hoisting ceremony of the University of Peshawar and function at Convocation Hall. The Centre will jointly arrange books exhibition in collaboration with Central Library. There will be flag hoisting and cake cutting ceremonies in the Centre too. Furthermore, buildings of the Centre will be illuminated for three consecutive days.

A workshop on Research Methodology was held at Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director was Resource Person. The workshop was attended by 11 batches of MPhil and PhD scholars registered in the Centre. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam gave a presentation on various components of Research Process. The participants were assigned practical work during the session. The participants termed the workshop highly beneficial and thanked Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam for arranging the same.

 

The newly appointed Director General of Cultural Centre (Khana Farhang) of Iran in Peshawar Mr. Abbas Famuri visited Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. He was accompanied by the outgoing Director General Mr. Ali Yousfi. The distinguished guests were received by Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam Director Pakistan Study Centre. He briefed the guests about the ongoing academic and research activities in the centre. The delegation also visited Library of the Centre. They assured the Director Pakistan Study Centre of any possible help in promoting academic, research and cultural ties between the two organizations.
