National Seminar on “China Pakistan Cooperation on Kashmir”

Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar Prof Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam spoke at National Seminar on “China Pakistan Cooperation on Kashmir”. Director China Study Centre Dr Zahid Anwar inaugurated the seminar.
The theme of Dr Fakhr-ul- Islam’s presentation was “China Pakistan Cooperation on Kashmir: Facts on the Ground”. He said that China, in the capacity of world power and strategic alloy of Pakistan, will surely play a role in resolution of the issue. He said that the tract record of China bears testimony to the fact that she will vote in favour of Pakistan if the issue was put to vote in the Security Council. He said no super power can remain a silent spectator to a looming tension between two nuclear neighbors. He said that the border dispute between China and India has made the former as stakeholder to the dispute. Dr. Fakhar said the cooperation of China in resolving can be seen in the light of CPEC. Both China and Pakistan can not afford harming the flagship project. Peace and tranquility are prerequisite for smooth running of the project. Keeping in view all the above facts on the ground, it is hoped that China will play a proactive and positive role in resolving the issue of Kashmir.
